Why is the Earth Dying?
Man is slowly destroying the earth.In time to come,the future generations may live in a world without trees,flowers or animals.The land will be dry and barren,the seas polluted and lifeless.Is this what we want for our children and grandchildren?
Every day,more and more trees are being chopped down.By doing this,we are destroying the natural habitat and endangering certain species of flora and fauna.Some birds and animals are already extinct and many others are near extinction.There is also massive soil erotion all over the world.
The rivers and sees are polluted because of dumping of toxic waste by factories.There is widespread destruction of marine life including fish,mammals and corals.Oil spills occur frequently,which add to the pollution.Many seas are no longer safe for swimming and fishing.The air too has not escape man's destructive touch.Exhaust fumes from vehicles have polluted it.Toxic fumes from factories and industrial sites have made it worse.There is open burning of garbage and we indiscriminately use sprays,air-conditioners and refrigerators that release chlorofluorocarbons(CFCs)into the air.
The earth is dying day by day.Are we just going to stand by and do nothing?Or,are we going to take a stand and do something about it?The solution is in our hands.All of us must take an active role in reducing pollution.Only by acting together can we save our earth.
